Fuji Provia 100F vs Fuji Astia 100F
Which Fuji slide film for people?
The same photograph, same exposure, both looks at full strength. See the untouched original.
The difference
Astia exists because Provia and Velvia were unusable for portraits — slide contrast destroys skin. Astia has the lowest contrast and saturation in the Fuji transparency line, holds highlights much further, and renders skin soft and slightly cool. Provia is more accurate and more contrasty, and better for everything that is not a face.
